Other Side of the Wall (OSOTW) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. It was founded in January 2015 but the vision for the movement began with its originator, Nicholas Obiora Ubannwa. At the age of 3 years old Nicholas was diagnosed with a rare pediatric brain tumor and was given little chance of survival beyond the first year. He underwent intensive chemotherapy and radiation, the effects of which resulted in developmental and physical challenges. He fought the disease for five years during which time he became known for his willingness to hug everyone, unconditional love and loyalty, his ability to see the good in people, and his 'never say never' attitude responsible for winning the hearts of all those he came to touch. Nicholas passed away in April of 2014 due to complications of his treatment. What he left behind was a beautiful message of outreach and a template for us to follow as we carry his spirit forward through the work of an organization which embodies everything he taught us.

Our Mission

OSOTW aims to fund a cure for pediatric brain tumors and improved treatment protocols that will reduce late effects of treatment; raise awareness around pediatric brain tumors, and provide support when possible to families experiencing challenges as a direct result of a pediatric brain tumor diagnosis.

Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten.
