Extreme Apartment Makeover

Our volunteers and members in our community banded together to assist a family who had been displaced during their child's treatment for a relapse. We first met them during our annual toy fundraiser and provided them direct assistance to provide some financial relief as well as replace essential items lost during their transition between homes. When the family was placed we moved them into their apartments with furniture, brand new beds, and helped them set up their home. 

providing support

We are paired with families in need through social workers at Children's Hospital who are able to identify families experiencing challenges as a direct result of a Pediatric Brain Tumor diagnosis. We have helped several other families directly. This family was gracious enough to let us share their story so others can see what our organization is doing to directly impact patients.

special space

Our volunteers wanted to create a beautiful and comfortable space for the family. Above is a table arrangement which was particularly special to the little girls who were thrilled to have such a 'fancy' setting. 

community

Our supporters loaded a truck full of furniture and moved our family into their home. From carrying large pieces up steps to putting furniture together their support was critical and we would not have been able to complete this project without them.
